I shot this is a small, but gorgeously designed, bright and modern beach house for one of my regular clients, Cucina Kitchens and Baths. As you can see they do a lot more that just kitchens and baths, they also create beautiful bedrooms and living rooms. Showing the outside view through a bright window in a photo can be particularly challenging, but that's one reason people hire me. In most cases I try to capture the feel of the ambient lighting in the room as well as the view outside in one exposure. In this case, I was aided by a couple of small wireless flash units to help even out the contrast between the inside and outside light but still keep the feel of the room lights. Location is stated as the top three selling points of real estate, and it can also be the most important thing to show in a photograph.
|I've photographed a lot of homes and this is one of the few I could really see myself living in, unfortunately it's out of my price range. The house is not much to look at from the outside, but who cares when it looks like this from the inside.|
